Full-Time Employment GILLIAM COUNTY EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT TO THE COMMISSIONERS
Gilliam County is currently accepting applications for the full-time position of Administrative Assistant to the Commissioners.
General Statement of Responsibilities The Administrative Assistant to the Commissioners performs a variety of complex clerical, secretarial, and administrative tasks in keeping official records, providing administrative support to the County Commissioners, and assisting in the administration of the standard operating policies and procedures of the County. Handles paperwork that is highly confidential, complex, and sensitive in nature. Works with the public and employees in dealing with requests and supplying information. Organizes and prepares paperwork, documents and agendas. Manages multiple calendars and tasks concurrently. Provides support to the County Commissioners, which includes taking minutes, creating and noticing agendas, preparing briefings and recommendations for Court meetings, and assisting in the implementation of directives, policies, and major initiatives at the request of the Commissioners.
Salary and Benefits Salary is $3,441 - $4,106 per month depending on experience. Excellent benefits including medical, dental, and vision benefits for employee and family; paid PERS (Public Employee Retirement System) contribution plus paid vacation, holiday, and sick leave.
Minimum Qualifications A High School Diploma (some college preferred); AND two (2) years of general office experience; OR any equivalent combination of education and experience which ensures the ability to perform the essential functions of this position.
